Boiler Tune Up Checklist

At Quality West, we specialize in maintaining residential Boilers systems at optimal efficiency and performance. Our technicians use a 26-point checklist to ensure accuracy and consistency. Our thorough inspection will ensure that your Boiler is well-maintained. Below is our checklist used at every Boiler tune up.

• Inspect proper thermostat operation
• Program thermostat for current season
• Check heat anticipator
• Check pump motor operation
• Lubricate pump motor if applicable
• Drain expansion tank if applicable
• Clean burners and burner compartment
• Check electrical connections
• Inspect low voltage wiring
• Test safety controls operation
• Inspect all drain lines in high efficiency units
• Clean pilot assembly and orifice
• Check and adjust gas pressure
• Cycle gas valve check performance
• Use OHM meter to test the hot surface igniter
• Clean & inspect flame proving sensor
• Inspect flue and draft
• Use detector to check gas lines for leaks
• Inspect the visible piping & automatic controls
• Perform Carbon Monoxide safety test
• Perform Combustion analysis of CO2/CO2/EA S& Temp Stack
• Verify proper operation of Draft
• Verify overall proper operation of system
• Answer customer questions about system
• Complete a written report for customer with system recommendations

If needed: Purge system loops to remove air (additional fee)
